Tripura: In a first, BJP Women’s unit celebrate Rani Lakshmibai’s contribution on birth anniversary

Agartala: For the first time the BJP women's unit today held a colorful rally to mark the 190th birth anniversary of the icon of first war of independence – Rani Lakshmibai . It is to be mentioned here that this is for the first time that a rally is being organized in memory of Rani Laxmibai in the state.
The women leaders stated that Rani Lakshmibai is a source of inspiration for every Indian.
Her fortitude in the face of adversity and steadfast opposition to colonialism will never be forgotten. It is due to great fighters like her that India won its freedom. Rani Lakshmibai was born on this day in 1828 in Varanasi as Manikarnika Tambe.
