Tripura: Five states including Tripura to go for by-polls on June 27

AGARTALA: A total of six Assembly constituencies of five states including Tripura across the country are going to conduct by-elections on June 27. The schedule was announced by Election Commission of India recently,of the five states, by-polls would be held in two Assembly constituencies of Tripura – Surma and Pratapgarh.Apart from Tripura, polls would be held in other assembly constituencies like Radha Krishan Nagar of Tamil Nadu, Chokpot of Meghalaya, Aruvikkara of Kerala and Gaboth of Madhya Pradesh.

However, the notification for the elections process would be released on June 3 and the vote counting process would be held on June 30.

The candidates willing to contest the by-polls would have to submit their nomination papers by June 10 and scrutiny of these nomination papers would be done the next day. The last date for withdrawal of nomination papers has been fixed on June 13.
