Tripura: A Gram Rojgar Sevak (GRS) was alleged of submitting fake certificates for getting the job three years back at Kadamtala Block of North Tripura District. Though the issue was taken up to the Kadamtala Block Development Officer (BDO) level, no action has been taken against him so far.
Samir Baruah had joined the job in 2012 after appearing for an interview. A total of 45 candidates including Baruah had appeared for the interview for the GRS post from September 13 to 15 in 2012.
The matter came into light after his date of birth mentioned on the school certificate contradicted with the date on the admit card. As per the admission register of the school, Samir's date of birth is in 1970 while the admit card which he had submitted claimed that he was born in 1973.
Sources said that Samir had procured fake admit card. He bribed two local CPI (M) leaders to get the job. Samir was first posted at Churaibari Gram Panchayat.
A complaint was registered against Baruah before the BDO on June 10. On the issue, Acharya said that they are investigating it and if found guilty, strict actions will be taken against him.
