Thunder squalls, hailstorm likely to pay Northeast India a visit on April 4 & 5, says Met Deptt
Thunder squall accompanied with hail & wind speed exceeding 50 KMPH is likely to occur in isolated places in all the Northeastern states excluding Sikkim on April 3, 4 and 5, according to Met Department.
Available data indicate that light to moderate rain occurred at most places over Arunachal Pradesh,Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland & Manipur and at a few places over Tripura. Light rain occurred at a few places over Mizoram with isolated heavy to very heavy falls over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam & Meghalaya during last 24 hrs. Day temperature rose over Meghalaya & Manipur, fell markedly over Arunachal Pradesh and no large changed over rest of the region during last 24 hrs. Those were markedly below normal over Arunachal Pradesh & Assam and normal over Meghalaya, Manipur & Tripura during last 24 hrs.

1) Thunder squall accompanied with hail & wind speed exceeding 50 KMPH is very likely to occur at isolated places of Arunachal Pradesh on 3rd Apr'17, over Assam , Meghalaya & N.M.M.T. on 3rd, 4th & 5th Apr;17. 2) Heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh & N.M.M.T on 3rd Apr'17 and over Assam & Meghalaya on 4th Apr with extremely heavy falls at isolated places on 3rd th Apr'17. 3) Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at isolated places of N.M.M.T. on 4th Apr'17.
