According to sources, Mantu Nath of Puthimari area along 12 others were on their way to Tezpur Mission Chariali weekly market in a van when their vehicle skid off the road. All 13 injured passengers were rushed to the TMCH but there were no doctors on duty at the emergency ward at that time. It is said that a doctor arrived at the hospital at 8.30 am, more than two hours after the injured were taken to the hospital. In the meantime, Mantu Nath succumbed to his injuries.
