Two held, brown sugar seized in Sikkim

GANGTOK:

Sikkim police on December 21 intercepted a vehicle occupied by Bhupen Subba and Bal Bdr Rai at Rangpo border check-post. On being questioned, the duo tried to flee from the spot.

According to police sources, on searching the vehicle 13.82 grams of brown sugar and one file of Nitrosun 10 tablets were recovered from the accused.

The contraband substances were found concealed inside the headlights of the said vehicle.

“A criminal case under relevant sections of NDPS and SADA has been registered against the two accused persons,” informed Sikkim Police officials.
