Two arrested for killing 75-year-old woman in Sikkim

GANGTOK:
Two persons were arrested on January 11 for allegedly killing a 75-year-old woman and looting her jewellery and cash.
“The deceased’s grandson and her caretaker were arrested for allegedly killing her on January 9 and decamping with the looted items,” Superintendent of Police, East Sikkim Shiva Yellasiri said.
The duo attempted to flee to Siliguri in West Bengal but were arrested from a hotel in Tadong near Gangtok, told by the police officer.
A case has been lodged and investigation is ongoing, the officer added.
