GANGTOK:

Chief Secretary SC Gupta, on Tuesday, said that Sikkim would receive 12,500 COVID-19 vaccines in the first phase of the vaccination drive.

The first phase of the vaccination drive will begin from January 16.

A total of 9,414 state health workers, 148 central health workers and 5,511 frontline workers were registered on CoWIN.

The government has set up two vaccination centres including the new Sir Thutob Namgyal Memorial (STNM) Hospital in East district and the district hospital in West Sikkim, he said.
