Sikkim Municipal elections 2021: Eight candidates file nominations in Gangtok

GANGTOK:

Eight Independent candidates filed their nominations for the Sikkim Municipal Elections, 2021, at the Office of the Municipal Returning Officer, East, on the second day of filing nominations on Tuesday.

Lakpa Sherpa and Kunga Bhutia filed their nominations for Lower M. G Marg- Lal Bazar, ward of Gangtok Municipal Corporation.

Sonam Pintso Bhutia and Tsewang Rinzing Bhutia filed their nominations for Tadong ward of Gangtok Municipal Corporation.

Norbu Tamang filed his nomination for the Panihouse ward of Gangtok Municipal Corporation.

Prahlad Agrawal has filed his nomination for Upper M. G Marg of Gangtok Municipal Corporation.

Rajani Singh Cintury filed her nomination for Pipal Dara ward under Singtam Nagar Panchayat and Sunita Sharma for the Mining ward under Rangpo Nagar Panchayat.

According to the Municipal Returning Officer, no nominations were filed from the five wards of 7 Mangan Nagar Panchayat.

No nominations were filed in South Sikkim as well.
