Sikkim mountaineer Shanti Rai scripts new chapter in Nepal

GANGTOK:

The Indian Himalayan Center for Adventure & Eco Tourism (IHCAE) congratulated Shanti Rai, who successfully scaled Mt Ama Dablam (6812 meters) on January 9.

Rai was the only person selected from India to take part in the mountaineering expedition.

She is presently working as an Instructor at IHCAE, under the Department of Tourism and Civil Aviation.

Chief Minister, Prem Singh Tamang, had flagged off the expedition from Sikkim on December 22.
