Sikkim Government College students stage protest over poor infrastructure

GANGTOK:

The students of Sikkim Government College on Thursday staged a protest against the state government’s failure to develop the college infrastructure.

According to the students, the college lacks proper infrastructure, and the government had failed to address the matter.

The protesting students also informed that until they are assured an appointment with Education Minister Kumga Nima Lepha, they will continue their protests.

“We will remain here till the government addresses our issue,” the students said.

The students also alleged that Sikkim Chief Minister P.S Golay had provided a written assurance in the past for the completion of the pending work, but nothing happened.
