Sikkim bags fourth best-governed state in India

GANGTOK:

The Northeastern State of Sikkim was ranked fourth place in Best Governed State on the Public Affairs Index 2020 (PAI 2020).

The fifth consecutive annual edition of PAI 2020 launched on October 30 in a virtual event.

PAI ranked the states on the performance of governance based on a composite scale and analysed in the context of sustainable development defined by three pillars: Equity, Growth and Sustainability.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister PS Golay expressed his pleasure and said that the state government would continue with their endeavours towards the welfare of the state.

He also thanked the citizens for their contributions and urged them to carry on with their efforts to transform Sikkim into a model state.
