Indo-China clash in Sikkim: Indian Army call it "minor face-off"

The Indian Army on Monday, January 25, informed that the reported clash between the Indian and Chinese troops at Nakula area of North Sikkim was a "minor face-off".

"It is clarified that there was a minor face-off at Nakula area of North Sikkim on 20 January 2021 and the same was resolved by local commanders as per established protocols," the Indian Army clarified.

It further stated that the facts reported in the media are exaggerated and factually incorrect.

According to media reports, the China's People's Liberation Army (PLA) made an attempt to intrude, resulting in the clashes, leaving as many as 20 Chinese troops and four Indian soldiers injured.
