Health scheme 'Suswastha Yojana' rolled out in Sikkim

GANGTOK:

Sikkim Chief Minister PS Golay, on Tuesday, rolled out the much-awaited health scheme - Suswastha Yojana.

The health scheme is an initiative undertaken by the state government to offer medical insurance to all the government employees of Sikkim.

Under the scheme, the beneficiaries will be eligible for an insurance cover of up to Rs 20 lakh against a monthly deposit of Rs 200.

While rolling out the scheme, the CM highlighted the efforts taken by the government to improve the health sector in the state.

He also pointed out the various medical facilities established at the district level in the state to deal with medical emergencies.
