Five “Tambola” participants arrested in Sikkim

GANGTOK:

Unrest prevailed at Singtam bazaar on Tuesday evening after several infuriated people who were taking part in “Tambola” took out their frustrations against the organisers while alleging foul play.

However, timely police intervention brought the situation under control and put a stop to the brawl.

Following this, police booked five people under sections 147, 324 and 34 of IPC for creating disturbances.

Police sources also informed that action would be taken against the organisers for violating the conditions of the permissions laid down by the respective authorities while organising the game.
