Sikkim | CM Chamling conferred with 6th JRD Tata Award by Population FI

GANGTOK | October 13, 2018 (UNI):

Adding another father to his cap, Sikkim Chief Minister Pawan Chamling, who was on way to Rome to receive the International award for his policies,was conferred the 6th JRD Tata Memorial Award yesterday in Delhi.

The award was given by Population Foundation of India selecting Sikkim as the best performing state under high focus category ,the North Eastern States.

The Technology Advisory Committee for Awards recommended the state on the basis of 35 indicators.

The award ceremony was presented by Dr Rajiv Kumar ,Vice-Chairman, NITI Ayog. Congratulating the CM, he praised the CM for planned development of the state, including health.
