Shillong-bound vehicle collides with truck in Karbi Anglong; 5 injured

DIPHU | June 21, 2019:

Atleast five persons were injured in a car-truck collision at Rongbang Pathar near Manja under Manja police station, Karbi Anglong here on Friday morning at around 11 am.

According to Manja Police, the incident occurred around 11 am at Rongbang Pathar, Manja when a Toyato Innova Registration no. (ML-05M-4810) bound for Shillong coming from Kohima collided with a sand-laden truck registration no.(AS-09C-1563) wherein five persons sustained injuries.

When the police reached the spot, the victims have already been taken to a nearby private hospital at Catholic Hospital, 6th mile Diphu-Manja road.

Meanwhile, hospital authorities informed that two persons have been referred to Diphu Civil Hospital for treatment and three persons, who sustained minor injuries, have been referred to Dimapur for medical attention.

The two persons who have been admitted in Diphu Civil hospital have been identified as AoChila Jamir (36yrs) and Ram Diamary (36yrs), both hailing from Kohima. Later, they were also referred to Guwahati medical college.
