Ride for ‘Brotherhood’: Karbi Anglong Motorcycle Club holds convergence of NE bikers

The enthusiastic riders from various parts of the North-eastern region took part in a two-day event called 'Brotherhood'. The event, organised by Karbi Anglong Motorcycle Club, was held from October 11-12 at Silveta Picnic spot, 32-kms away from the district headquarter of Karbi Anglong.

Karbi Anglong Motorcycle Club, Chief organiser Nogsar Kathar said, this is the first time in the district that such type of event is being conducted. "This is a real extravaganza event organised with an aim to boost tourism in Karbi Anglong," he said.

Riders from various parts of north-eastern region like Manipur, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Mizoram Arunachal Pradesh and even from different parts of Assam took part in the event. More than 100 riders took part in the event.

The event also witnessed riders from Australia and Germany on the inaugural day of the "Brotherhood".

Female solo rider from Mizoram, expressed her joyous moment saying, "this was my first time in Karbi Anglong and the people of this region are very nice and friendly. I also got a chance to witness the traditional dances of the Karbi tribe which is very wonderful; the dresses and culture are indeed beautiful."

She also asked people to visit Karbi Anglong if they want to experience the beauty and serenity that nature has to offer besides the warm and welcoming gestures of the locals.
