Last weekend La Bohemienne et les amis did a take on Indian cuisine playing with Indian flavours and coming up with creative renditions and healthy versions of classical dishes. Diners were pleasantly surprised and the Indian twist menu turned out to be a big hit. This weekend they will be presenting a new more local menu. As La Bohemienne digs deep into her roots, the focus will be on Assamese Cuisine.

La Bohemienne is the cooking pseudonym of Tara Goswami – an artist, yogi and cook who believes that food is much more than following standard classic recipes, she sees food as medicine for the body and the soul. She follows her intuition and experiments with available ingredients and interprets them in her unique style. The food she creates is an extension of her yoga practice, as such the focus is always on healthy, nutrient rich, wholesome foods that taste great, but most importantly, make you feel great afterwards too. The artist in her insists that food must always be appealing to the senses and each detailed dish that she carefully plates is as much a visual treat as it is to the palate.

This experimental creative cooking technique makes La Bohemienne unique in that no menu is ever the same. So every time you come, you will be presented with a new menu specially crafted by Tara to give you what she proudly calls 'Flexitarian Food'. She encourages people to see that it is possible to create endless plates without having meats and dairy as the centre of the meal, a concept that is still quite new to the North East of India. She uses local ingredients and makes plant based, low fat alternatives which come together to create a wholesome dining experience.

This weekend, be prepared to find yourself welcomed by the scent of aromatic Joha rice and pungent mustard oil as La Bohemienne and her team play closer to home than ever before. Proud to present authentic Assamese cuisine prepared with fresh and organic ingredients sourced from the farmer's market.

So do drop by this weekend to have a taste of the Gypsy's version of Assamese cooking inspired by both her grandmothers' excellent culinary skills.

They will be on for lunch and dinner so make sure to reach out and book your tables in advance. Message here or call +919383049520.
