AGARTALA: Tripura police have launched a probe after learning Chief Minister Manik Sarkar's fake Facebook account.
"The Cyber Crime Branch is investigating the matter. We hope that the police could break through the account, a senior police official said.
Manik Sarkar deny of having any Facebook account and he even said that he has no email ID . Adding that he has not asked anyone to open a Facebook account in his name.
In October, 2014, police had taken a sou motto case following the fake Facebook account of Manik Sarkar with many postings.
The fake account has many post on the development done by the CPI (M) shared by Manik Sarkar. One of the post goes by the slogan 'Future PM India – Manik Sarkar' getting a total of 969 Likes.
The account has a total 131 friends.
