One-man commission to inquire into anomalies in civil services exam
Guwahati: The State Government has said that five cases regarding anomalies in the civil services examinations conducted by the Assam Public Service Commission have been referred to the one-man inquiry commission headed by Additional Chief Secretary Subash Chandra Das.
The State Government said it had received five specific cases regarding anomalies in the results of the civil services examination announced this year and those cases would be probed by the one-man commission.
It may be mentioned that Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi had disclosed during a Press Conference yesterday that a probe had been ordered into five cases of complaints relating to anomalies in the results of the State civil services examination announced this year.
Meanwhile protest is going on in various parts of Assam especially by Peasant organisation Krishak Mukti Sangram Samitee against APSC anomalies. Its leader Akhil Gogoi has been sent to judicial custody two days back who was on a hunger strike in the premises of APSC office.
The activists of KMSS on Thursday burnt the effigy of Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi and Assam DGP Khagen Sharma against the arrest of Akhil Gogoi. In many parts including Dhekiajuli, Guwahati the protesters are on indefinite hunger strike in demand of release of Akhil Gogoi immediately.
