Nyishi and Apatani tribes ink historic agreement

ITANAGAR: Removing differences and inching towards stronger ties, two major tribal communities in Arunachal Pradesh signed a historic agreement today.

This accord was signed between the Nyishi and Apatani community and was done in the presence of Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Nabam Tuki at Ziro town. Bengia Tulom, president of Nyishi Elite Society (NES) and Dr Hage Loder, president of Tani Supum Dukum (TSD) represented the two tribes.

A total of eight resolutions were signed and everyone is hopeful of its positive outcome since a lot of communal clashes have taken place between these two tribes.
