NSCN-IM wants to return home from Bangladesh
AGARTALA: Since the Government of India and the NSCN-IM struck a peace deal on 3rd August, 2015, the latter has sought the Mizoram Government's permission to let them enter Nagaland through Mizoram. Highly placed administrative sources say that the NSCN-IM have been absconding in Bangladesh's Chittagong for a long period of time. And now they seek the Mizoram Government's permission for entrance into the state so that obstruction does not stand in their way.
Few kilometres away from the international border of Mizoram's Thamit district, lies a NSCN-IM camp of around 50 cadres. They want to enter Nagaland through Thamit district itself.
