KOHIMA:

Nagaland’s Tuensang police on Tuesday launched the ‘Police ki Pathshala’ programme, an initiative to promote a better understanding of the law and to encourage the participation of the student community in law enforcement.

Tuensang’s Superintendent of Police Amit Nigam interacted with the students of Loyem Memorial College and shared his experiences in policing.

He also discussed the rights and duties of a citizen towards society.

Besides this, students were also made aware of cyber laws, domestic violence, eve-teasing and other related matters.

The first chapter of ‘Police ki Pathshala’ kicked off on March 30.

According to Tuensang police, they will organise the programme regularly to empower students and spread awareness about existing laws.
