Nagaland's first Organic AC Market inaugurated in Dimapur

The first organic AC market in Nagaland was inaugurated at Agri Expo in Dimapur on Tuesday, December 8.

The market was inaugurated by Minister of Agriculture and Cooperation G Kaito Aye in the presence of Agriculture Production Commissioner (APC) Kikheto Sema and other officials of the department.

All the department’s officials, and the farmers, should work hand in hand to increase the agricultural production in the state, minister of Agriculture and Cooperation G Kaito Aye said.

Nagaland government is contemplating to set up mini AC markets in warm places like Wokha, Phek, Tuli, etc, to boost agriculture production, the minister added.

He also urged the people to be active and come up with various new ideas and plans on farming and share the same with the officials of the department.

Nagaland has a rich variety of organic vegetables, but lack of coordination between farmers and officials has resulted in wastage of food produces and their market value.
