KOHIMA:

Dimapur Deputy Commissioner and Chairman of Regional Transport Authority, Rajesh Soundararajan, directed all taxis and auto-rickshaws to charge as per earlier existing rates following the state government’s notification to permit all vehicles to operate with 100 per cent passenger capacity.

The fares of taxis and auto-rickshaws, which were enhanced during the COVID-19 pandemic, have been withdrawn with immediate effect, Soundararajan said.

DC also directed all vehicle owners and passengers to strictly adhere to all safety norms like mandatorily wearing masks and disinfectants.

Furthermore, failure to comply with the order will attract penal provision as per the law.
