Nagaland: NSCN (K) cadre held in Kohima, arms recovered

KOHIMA:

Security Forces apprehended a cadre of the National Socialist Council of Nagaland-NSCN (K-Nikki) near the 2K Hotel at Officers' Colony in Kohima on October 22.

Based on specific input, the security forces launched a joint operation with the police and apprehended the individual from the area.

The individual was suspected to be involved in extortion activities on behalf of Commander of Western Division of NSCN (K-Nikki) in Kohima.

Troops also recovered one .22mm pistol with magazine, ten live rounds of ammunition, and other incriminating documents from the individual.

The apprehended cadre along with recovered items have been handed over to the South Police Station, Kohima for further investigations.
