Nagaland Govt asks piggery farmers to vaccinate pigs against Classical Swine Fever

KOHIMA: The Directorate of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services, Nagaland, has urged piggery farmers to get their pigs vaccinated against Classical Swine Fever (CSF).

The department, on Friday, also asked all chief veterinary officers to collect the vaccination cost of CSF 1st phase and CSF 2nd phase vaccines from the Directorate Office.

“Utilisation certificates and expenditure statement should be submitted, to the directorate office for record and vaccination may be carried out in ring or cluster depending on the occurrence and epidemiological pattern of the disease in the respective district,” stated an announcement by All India Radio, Kohima.

The department also asked all veterinary officials to give equal attention to piggery farms in border areas and stock routes.
