KOHIMA:

Governor RN Ravi on March 9 held a detailed review meeting on the progress of the National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation (NHIDCL) projects for a two-lane road in Nagaland at Vamuzo Memorial Town Hall, Chozuba.

The project includes Kohima-Jessami Road, Chakabama- Zunheboto Road, and Pfutsero-Phek Road.

The Governor advised the Deputy Commissioners of concerned districts to take active interests in resolving local issues, which causes a delay in completion of the projects on time.

He also directed the concerned contractors to mobilise adequate resources to achieve the target.

The Governor exhorted all Agencies and Departments to work as a team.

Taking serious note of the unconcerned approach of some departments for not carrying out works despite funds deposited by NHIDCL in their accounts two to three years ago, Governor Ravi lamented that their inactions have added to unnecessary delay in the progress.
