The Assam Rifles, Mokokchung Battalion, recovered firearms and ammunition near Sungkomen village in an operation on January 15.
Acting on specific inputs, the Assam Rifles, in a joint operation with Nagaland Police, recovered two .22mm pistols with magazines from a jhum hut near Sungkomen village, Mokokchung.

They later handed over the recovered weapons to Mokokchung Police Station.
A case has been registered, and an investigation is on.
