KOHIMA:

David Thingchum Sangtam was sworn in as a member of the Nagaland Public Service Commission (NPSC) at Dr Imkongliba Hall, Raj Bhavan in Kohima on Thursday.

Governor R. N Ravi administered the oath among a host of legislators led by the Minister of Planning and Coordination, Land Revenue and Parliamentary Affairs, Neiba Kronu, and other senior government officials who attended the ceremony.

Meanwhile, the cabinet sub-committee recommended for a total review of the reservation policy in the state.

While addressing reporters, Neiba Kronu said, “It may take time to review the entire reservation policy, suggestions were made to invite intellectuals including ENPO and other tribes to work out a solution since the reservation review cannot be held repeatedly.”

Minister Neiba Kronu also said that the cabinet sub-committee had put its recommendation for approval.

Meanwhile, on the demand and deadline of the ENSF which expires on January 10, Kronu said the cabinet had entrusted its member P. Paiwang Konyak and Toshi Wungtung to apprise the ENSF.
