KOHIMA:

In a big boost to the Bharatiya Janata Party ahead of the by-polls of two Assembly seats of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly, veteran congress leaders and party workers of Kiphire district have joined the BJP fold on Friday.

The joining of the Congress workers is going to boost and strengthen the BJP party more said BJP President and minister Temjen Imna Along.

“It will absolutely strengthen the party because they are not just one or two of them but they are veterans of the congress party and leaders of this area of Kiphire and Pungro so it will make a lot of difference,”, said Along.

Along said the reason for the Congress workers joining the BJP was because the party workers have lost faith in the leadership of the Congress.

“Everybody has seen the vision, love and concern of the BJP for the country so in every nook and corner of India not just Kiphire town you will see people joining BJP,” he said.

He added that the congress workers in Kiphire town are resigning because they lost faith in their leadership and are joining the BJP because they believe that BJP is doing the right thing for every citizen of India.
