1,097 health care workers vaccinated in Nagaland

KOHIMA: About 1,097 health care workers and health officials were vaccinated on the fourth day of COVID-19 vaccination drive in Nagaland on Wednesday.

The vaccination was conducted in 41 selected sites across the state.

Except for Longleng district, 127 health workers from Dimapur, 320 in Mokokchung, 46 in Wokha, 125 in Zunheboto, 105 in Mon, 128 in Phek, 13 in Peren, 167 in Kohima, 52 in Tuensang, and 14 in Kiphire, were vaccinated.

State Immunization Officer and Spokesperson for COVID-19 Vaccination Dr Ritu Thurr informed that the second consignment of 23 thousand doses of COVID-19 vaccine, COVISHIELD from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare had reached the state vaccine store under police escort.

"All vaccinated health workers will receive the second dose after 28 days, and all COVID-19 appropriate behaviours will be strictly maintained even after vaccination," Thurr said.
