KOHIMA: Nagaland Lok Sabha member Neiphiu Rio appeared before the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate of Kohima Tucuno Vamuzo with regard to the hearing on the case of educational qualification.
Advocate B K Mahajan, on behalf of Mr Rio, argued during the hearing and sought more time from the court for next hearing. Magistrate Therie heard the argument of Mr Mahajan and accepted the request for more time and fixed the next date of hearing on November 11, 2016.
Later talking to mediapersons, Mr Mahajan said his client Mr Rio as a law abiding citizen of India has appeared before the court but this case is a result of political vendetta. He informed that today an application under Section 406 Code of the Criminal Procedure has been filed before the Nagaland Bench of Guwahati High Court and the matter has been listed today in the motion matter so the other side complainant has filed application before the learning court seeking time as transferable application is pending before Honourable Nagaland bench of Guwahati high court, therefore as law abiding citizens we have appeared as whatever complaining side, we have no objection to it.
The law will take its course and the court has fixed this case on November 11 next against for consideration of charge.
