Monsoon Session of Tripura Legislative Assembly to begin
AGARTALA: The three-day monsoon session of the Tripura Legislative Assembly would begin on 7th August, 2015, excluding holidays. Three bills will be presented on the first day of the session itself. They are 'The Maharaja Bir Bikram University Bill, 2015', 'The University of Chartered Financial Analysis of India : A University' (Second Amendment Bill, 2015) and 'The Introduction of Tripura Co-operative Society' (Third Amendment Bill, 2015).
'The Maharaja Bir Bikram University Bill' will be presented on the first day of the session and after discussions it would be passed on 10th August, 2015. The rest two would be passed on 11th August, 2015, said the Assembly Speaker Ramendra Chandra Debnath.
Significantly, Tripura already has a Central University. However, the State Government is planning to set up a State University by passing 'The Maharaja Bir Bikram University Bill, 2015'.
