Two women arrested with heroin worth Rs 7.70 lakh in Mizoram

AIZAWL:

Mizoram Excise and Narcotics Department personnel arrested two women and seized 284 grams of heroin at Durtlang Leitan in Aizawl on Wednesday.

According to sources, the seized heroin is worth Rs 7.70 lakh and police suspect that the drug was smuggled from Myanmar.

They have identified the two women as Lalthanmawii (45), and Vanlalhriati (29).

Police have also registered a case under sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.
