Mizoram CM inaugurates new bailey bridge over River Kawnpui in Bairabi

The Chief Minister of Mizoram, Zoramthanga, on January 5 inaugurated a bailey bridge over Kawnpui River in Bairabi along the Assam-Mizoram border.

The Bailey bridge is constructed to facilitate the transportation of essential commodities.

“It is an important bridge for (the) transport of essential commodities for the people of Mizoram,” Zoramthanga said.

The bridge was constructed at a total cost of Rs 365 lakh.

“The new bridge has been built as the existing bridge was weak to take (the) load of heavy vehicles,” Zoramthanga added.
