AIZAWL:

The Lunglei and Aizawl battalions of Assam Rifles organised a bike rally in collaboration with Royal Knights in Aizawl on Saturday as part of a drug de-addiction campaign.

Participants visited the Integrated Rehabilitation Centre for Addicts while the commandant of the Lunglei battalion distributed essential commodities to the patients.

Meanwhile, an oath-taking ceremony was also held to spread the message of drug de-addiction.

Brigadier Digvijay Singh administered the oath in the presence of several prominent NGOs, while the commandant of the Aizawl battalion spoke about the anti-drug campaign.

Later, a drug awareness video was screened for all participants highlighting the effects of drug use followed by an interactive session which focused on the campaign.
