Public Works Department (PWD) hands over extra land to Tura Municipal Board (TMB)

TURA:

The District Magistrate, West Garo Hills, Tura has directed the authorities of the Public Works Department (PWD) to temporarily hand over all the extra land along the road prone to encroachment to the Tura Municipal Board (TMB) for paid parking place.

The District Magistrate has directed all Heads of Department in the district to protect their own land for the interest of the public, and if someone tries to stop such activities, then the concerned department should file an FIR against these people as per penal provisions of IPC for obstructing or hurting public servants on duty.

This order will come into force with immediate effect and will remain in force until further orders.
