NPP remembers death anniversary of (L) PA Sangma

The National People’s Party (NPP), on Thursday, commemorated the 5th death anniversary of its founder, and former Meghalaya Chief Minister and Lok Sabha Speaker, (L) Purno Agitok Sangma at the NPP Headquarter in the city.

The ceremony witnessed the attendance of senior office bearers of the NPP and members of the National People’s Youth Front (NPYF).

General Secretary in charge of Finance and Admin, NPP, Babeth K. Sangma, recalled Purno’s contribution to the state and the country, including his contribution to the NPP.

The ceremony witnessed the attendance of senior office bearers of the NPP and members of the National People’s Youth Front (NPYF).

He also recalled that the late leader’s dream was to unite the people of the Northeast.

Former Meghalaya Legislative Assembly member (MLA), Nihim D. Shira, stated that Purno Sangma was a great visionary who groomed many leaders and was also an international leader.

General Secretary Kupar Blah delivered the vote of thanks.
