Meghalaya: Women employees of Central Agricultural University file sexual harassment complaint against Dean

Two women employees of Central Agricultural University (CAU) at ICAR, Umiam have lodged an FIR against the Dean of the University alleging sexual harassment.

The FIR filed by the two women, who do not wish to be named, mentioned that one Jitendra Chauhan, Acting Dean of the institute, harassed them sexually during the month of January and February.

It was also reported that the Dean had recently terminated few staff of the university who were working as security guard on the pretext of working under the influence of alcohol, however, the employees have refuted the claim.

The women further alleged that the dean called them to his guest house on various occasions without any official work and asked them to do weird things.

In the FIR which was filed at Umiam Police Station, the two women have demanded the police authority to take strict action against the dean.
