Meghalaya woman allege fraudulent cash withdrawals in North Garo Hills

A woman account holder in the Dainadubi branch of State Bank of India in North Garo Hills (NGH), Meghalaya on Wednesday filed a police complaint after money was withdrawn regularly from her account without her authorisation.

A case has been registered at Dainadubi outpost under Mendipathar Police Station under section 420 of the Indian Penal Court (IPC).

“We are investigating the matter after receiving the complaint while not ruling out the fact that the fraud could have been an inside job,” said Superintendent of Police, NGH, Abraham T Sangma.
