Meghalaya: West Garo Hills DC orders for closure of wine shops

West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner (Excise), on Thursday, ordered the closure of wine shops, bars and bonded warehouses in areas bordering Assam from April 4 to 6 in view of the upcoming assembly elections in the neighbouring state.

These areas include -- Hallidayganj, Rajabala, Phulbari, Tikrikilla, Chibinang, Zekabari, Putamati and Rongsai.
