Meghalaya: Rapido rider assaulted, bike torched by miscreants in Shillong

SHILLONG:

A group of miscreants on Thursday assaulted one Rapido (bike taxi) rider near Dr H Gordon Robert Hospital in Jaiaw, Shillong and later hijacked his bike and set it on fire.

When contacted, East Khasi Hills Superintendent of Police (SP-City) Vivek Syiem informed that after assaulting the rider, the miscreants ran away with his bike.

He said they (miscreants) later set the bike on fire near Wahingdoh Bridge around 8 pm.

"We are yet to make any arrest in this connection," Syiem said.
