A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Indian Institute of Management-Shillong and the Dalit Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DICCI), to develop business leadership skills for the youths of Northeast India.

"Through this close monitoring and support network, IIM Shillong and DICCI will help the youth transform their energy and ideas into a successful venture," IIM-Shillong Director DP Goyal said.

The MoU between the two organisations is expected to promote (Schedule Caste/Schedule Tribe) SC/ST entrepreneurs to enhance the employability and entrepreneurial capabilities and provide a solution to their socio-economic problems.
