Meghalaya: One person injured in hit and run case in Shillong

SHILLONG:

A pedestrian identified as Anthony Langstieh was knocked down by an unknown Bolero pickup which was coming from Golflink and heading towards Mawlai Mawroh in Shillong, Meghalaya on Monday.

According to the police, the incident took place near Police Training School (PTS) at Mawlai Mawroh at around 9:45 pm when the victim was on his way to Mawlai Phutmuri.

The 25-year-old man, who is a resident of Mawlai Phutmuri, sustained injuries and was shifted to Shillong Civil Hospital by his friends who were with him, and was later referred to Supercare Hospital, Shillong.

The hit-and-run case was registered on Tuesday, "and accordingly, it will be investigated," police sources informed.
