Meghalaya: No reports of untoward incident during the 48-hour strike of commercial vehicles

Because of the 48-hour strike of commercial vehicles called by the Joint Action Committee of All Meghalaya Commercial Vehicles in the state, Ri Bhoi Superintendent of Police, Nazarius Lamare informed that there were no reports of untoward incident or law and order problems in Ri Bhoi District.

“We are very vigil to tackle any law and order problem that might occur during this transport strike in the District, and we will not allow any person to disrupt the public movement in the District,” said Lamare.

On inspecting the headquarter of the district by the scribe, the schoolchildren had been badly affected as it forced many schools to shut down.

The business establishments in the district headquarter were also seen putting their shutter down.
