The State Bank of India inaugurated another ATM in its effort to provide convenient banking services to the residents of Rongram, which is close to the town of Tura in West Garo Hills (WGH) district.

The inauguration today saw the Deputy Commissioner of West Garo Hills, Ram Singh, along with various bank officials and the public.

As per reports from the administration, SBI is also set to open four more branches, one in Tura (Hawakhana), Williamnagar, Purakhasia and Damalgre. These branches would also include ATMs with another two such ATMs coming up at New Tura in West Garo Hills and Mendal in North Garo Hills.

“We are also collaborating with SBI to start a coaching centre for Banking PO and Clerical Exam in Don Bosco College premises next week as job openings and employment back log remains. This will also help our youth immensely,” said DC Ram Singh.
