Meghalaya Health Minister, Alexander Laloo Hek on January 15 supports the statement of Power Minister, James PK Sangma that any allegations made against the ruling MDA Government should be substantiated with facts.

“I totally agree with the statement of the Power Minister that any allegations which are levied needs to be supported with proof,” Hek told reporters here today.

Admitting that the alleged corruption in the Autonomous District Councils (ADCs) was already discussed, he said that the BJP state leaders probably wanted to remind the central leaders about issues afflicting the State.

When asked that the BJP leaders from the State had supported their allegations by submitting the RTI documents to the central leaders, he said that submitting of RTI documents does not prove that an act of corruption was committed.

Speaking on the sidelines, Deputy Chief Minister, Prestone Tynsong told that the visit of the BJP leaders from the State led by its state president, Ernest Mawrie to Delhi is purely a party issue.

“Going to Delhi is their internal meeting with the concerned Minister of the BJP or be it with the National president of the BJP. We cannot stop them from going to Delhi if the central leaders have summoned them,” Tynsong said.
