Meghalaya: HCL funding for ten families implemented in Ri-Bhoi district

SHILLONG:

Ten families from Pynthor, Bhoirymbong C&RD block, Ri-Bhoi district have received support under HCL Foundation.

Family Strengthening Programme, SOS CV Shillong, has ensured the implementation of various activities under the HCL Fund.

The distribution of ration for ten families, capacity building programmes for “Ensuring mental well-being of families” post COVID-19 scenario in collaboration with GRASSROOTS.

The programme for boosting livelihoods has been organised in collaboration with State Biological Laboratory Centre, Department of Agriculture and Farmer’s welfare.

Income generation fund has been provided to 10 families as part of reviving the existing livelihoods for ₹ 15000. Through HCL Fund loan, waiver of ₹ 4500 has been transferred to respective SHG accounts.

The programme has also ensured that 28 children from ten families received tuition support and under HCL fund, two tutors from the community are engaged.
